You’ll never guess where I was yesterday – now bear with me guys because there is some good stuff in here for you too….I was down in East Lothian for a self care workshop and I would like to share some awakenings with you:-
1. Can our outer world be an easier place if we treat our inner world better?
2. If we heard someone we cared about being spoken to the way we sometimes speak to ourselves, would we allow it?
3. If you had to make a list of all the things you loved, where would you be on it?
Now, how can we relate this into our business?
1. Many would say we are in the business of sales, regardless what our product or service and that people buy from people. How can we build great relationships with others if we don’t take the time and to build up the one with ourselves?
2. Perhaps we would even call it -self bullying – do the voices in our head limit our ability to build relationships because we believe them?
3. This was a real wake up call for me – Where would you be? I didn’t even put myself on the list?
So at the end of the day I could look at myself, recognise the bits of me I like and those I am not so fond of and realise that I come as a package and it is acceptable not to be perfect all of the time!
I plan to be gentler with me, give myself more play and relaxation time – do you need to do that too?
