One of the recurring themes in the testimonials I receive from my clients is gratitude for the way I not only simplify their business, but make their life easier too. Because they become less frustrated, stressed and tired during their working hours, they are able to relax much more and enjoy their personal endeavours.
I think business is like a journey, you are where you are right now and have to accept that is exactly where you should be, however there is a frustration or a longing to be in a different, a better place. Something needs to change and it can be difficult to work out what and then where to start.
According to all my research everything begins with a thought, which is often triggered by a feeling that something is no longer acceptable in its current form. Then the exploration begins and the confusion steps in.
I’d like to share with you five simple tips that I use and you can easily implement that help the transition from you working for your business to your business working for you.
Start at the finish line
When you have real clarity on your destination, what you are looking to achieve and why it is really important for you, it will be much easier to stay focussed throughout your journey
Take small steps
We overestimate what we can do in a year, but underestimate what we can do in five. Spend time every day in each area of your business.
Learn to delegate
As soon as financially possible, start to delegate to ensure you are spending as much time as possible directing the business and let others carry out the routine tasks.
Know Your Numbers
Identify the key numbers in your business and track your progress, your targets and your results
Enjoy the journey
If you don’t love what you do, alter your route. Remember that your business, and more importantly your life, is your responsibility!
I have worked with these points for some time now and find them very useful, let me know if you do too!
